One of those days...

Sometimes I have one of those days.  I am mentally in the garden, but physically elsewhere.  Well, a friend is also having one of those days, so I had to do it.  I wandered down to Greenworks - another one of those favorite places and found it.  A simple pleasure to make someone smile.  I got three for me......and one for my friend in hopes that it will brighten an otherwise gloomy day.

I am in Greenville...heading to Laurens....and my kin

My emotions are at the surface and I am on the verge of tears.  The last time I made this journey, my sister and I drove with my niece and nephew. That time it was a working journey more or less.  This time it is to see my great aunt Lucy Hunter  and learn more about other kin I did not know I had. I will visit the old homestead, the grave sites, Flat Ruff Baptist Church and listen as I hear stories I have not heard before. When black women get together.....well lets just say it is a good time had by most if not all.

I am embracing this journey.......going to get the rental car.

Now that I snored all the way from BWI to Hotlanta....I was do excited about this journey I never went to sleep...I am now starving. I am eating at Pei Wei....here is my brunch

8 Now to eat before I miss my flight. I am so amped......I hope the kinfolk are ready!

Views from a District Heights Oasis

I wanted to share some photos of my little oasis right in District Heights,Maryland.  To some it might be a jungle and to others it is a garden filled with abundant love and joy......to me it is the gardens of Cottage in the Court.......
